Handmade Leather Jewelry Box, circle

A simple 22-karat gold decoration decorates this small circle-shape box. The box is created using the cuoietto technique, a leatherworking technique with ancient origins and a long artisanal tradition. The bovine leather is first moistened to make it softer and more workable. Subsequently, it is carved, engraved, or stamped using specific tools. After carving, the leather is allowed to dry, allowing the details to set permanently.
